Paul W. Tibbets (1915). This book which was published in 2002 is the history of the 509th Composite (bomb) Group. This is a history of that group including their time on the island of Tinian which is where they flew from to drop the first and second atomic bombs. It is a fascinating read about one of the most trail-blazing eras in not only the history of our military but in the history of man.General Tibbets who was the commanding officer of this group that was also part of the 20th Air Force compiled this book and he signed the book as Paul W. Tibbets. The book is in pristine, unread condition. It is a hard cover book but does not and never did have a dust jacket.
