Five Presidents. The 37th through 41st Presidents of the United States. Historic Printed Photograph Signed. An historic 8" x 10" color photo, oblong, signed on the bottom margin by Presidents Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan and Bush—the first time in American history that five presidents met. This image was the official photograph of The Reagan Library dedication on November 5th, 1991. The photo was signed by all the Presidents at the same sitting. By mutual agreement they pledged not to sign more than the agreed upon number of these official photos. Accompanied by a Typed Letter Signed by Gerald Ford (one page, quarto, n.d., n.p., on personal embossed letterhead) that makes reference to the agreement to limit the number of Five Presidents photos they would sign "to preserve the historic significance " of the photograph. The Ford letter was obviously writted to someone who sent him one of these color photographs unsigned for him to autograph.A wonderful presidential collectible. Signatures bold and in excellent condition. This would make a great framing with the Ford letter.
