SUMMARY: This offering is an elegant sepia toned photograph signed and inscribed by Baruch. Price:$595.00
Bernard Mannes Baruch ( 1870 1965). Baruch was an American financier, stock market speculator, statesman, and presidential adviser. After his success in business, he devoted his time toward advising Democratic presidents Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D. Roosevelt on economic matters.
Baruch was a high profile public figure, and did his best thinking in Washington D.C's Lafayette Park and in New York City's Central Park. It was not uncommon to see him discussing government affairs with other people while sitting on a park bench; this became his trademark. It was said that his office was a park bench near the White House.
His was one of the most distinguished careers of any public servant in American History and it is unlikely that we will see his like again any time in the near future.
This offering is an 8 in x 10 in sepia toned portrait photograph signed and inscribed--To Monroe with the affectionate regards of Bernard Baruch, Notation of '1919" left lower corner on margin.
