William F. Buckley, Jr. (1925-2008). William F. Buckley, Jr. who was as close to a true Renaissance Man as we will ever know. His passing recently left a void in American letters and we all miss him. Among his many writings was the series of seven Blackford Oakes spy novels the title of which were : Saving the Queen, Stained Glass, High Jinx, Maro Polo If You Can, See You Later Alligator, Mongoose R.I.P.,The Story of Henri Tod and Who's On First Offered here is the collection of all eight novels. The books are in fine condition and all have nice dust wrappers. All are signed in variuous forms of his signature in red ink by William F. Buckley, Jr.. The rarest of these novels is Saving the Queen and that is described in detail in a seperate listing.Almost all of the books could be described exactly as that item is described-fine condition wioth an intact jacket in fine condition.The Saving the Queen novel in fine condition and signed lists at one dealer for over $600.00.
