William F. Buckley, Jr. (1925-).This book combines two of the iconic figures of the modern conservative movement. The relationship between the two men is well known and it was Buckley who was one of the first to recognize the greatness of Whittaker Chambers and Buckley therefore understood the significance Chambers pointing a tremulous finger at Alger Hiss thus identifying him as a member of a communist cell to which Chambers also belonged at one time.
