Barbara Bush (1925- ). Barbara Bush is well known to the American public having served as First Lady from 1988-1992 as the wife of President George Herbert Walker Bush. She comes from a political background and is a distant relative of President Franklin Piece.Very few FL's have been a visible, as vocal or as influential as this woman. She is mother of a distinguished family that has produced on President, one governor of a major state and possible future president and a raft of other successful children and grandchildren.This book is her memoir and gives the reader some insight into both the joys and the pains of public life. Of particular interest to me was the burden she felt when it was necessary to initiate the war that expelled Saddam from the Kuwait. The book is in excellent condition with an intact dust jacket.
