- Francisco Paulino Hermenegildo
Teódulo Franco y Bahamonde Salgado Pardo (1892-19717). Commonly known as Generalísimo
Francisco Franco, was the Head of State of Spain in parts
of the country from 1936 and in its entirety from 1939 until
his death in 1975. He presided the government of the Spanish
State following victory in the Spanish Civil War. From 1947,
he was de facto regent of Spain. During his rule he was known
officially as por la gracia de Dios, Caudillo de España
y de la Cruzada, or "by the grace of God, the Leader of
Spain and of the Crusade." During the Civil War he received
aid from Nazis an Mussolini.It is said that the Germans used
Spain to test5 those weapons that they planned to use in what
became WW II including the Stuka dive bomber. 3 in. x 5.5 in.
