Katharine Houghton Hepburn (1907-2003). Iconic star of American film and stage, widely recognized for her sharp wit, New England gentility and fierce independence. A screen legend, Hepburn holds the record for the most Oscars won by any actress at four. She was nominated for twelve Best Actress Academy Awards, the record for nominations until 2003, when Meryl Streep earned her 13th nomination for Adaptation. In 1999, the American Film Institute ranked Hepburn the greatest actress of all time.

It is well known in the trade that Katharine Hepburn had a habit of only signing photographs to people that she knew. This is certianly an interesting association with one of the greatest home run hitters in the history of major league baseball. Acquired from the Jimmie Foxx estate. Photo shows normal aging and toning, minor corner crease on lower right near signature, pin holes in the corners, which can be easily matted out when framed; overall, very good..
