Mary Geneva Doud Eisenhower (1896-1979),
wife of Dwight D. Eisenhower and First Lady of the United States from 1953 to 1961, and Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis (1929-1994), wife of President John F. Kennedy, and the First Lady of the United States from 1961 to 1963.
 
A Very Rare Photograph Signed, showing Mamie Eisenhower, Jacqueline Kennedy, and Pat Nixon sitting together at the White House during the transition of the Eisenhower and Kennedy administrations, January 1961. Measuring approximately 10 in. by 8 in., on heavy card stock, no place or date. Signed in black: "Mamie Eisenhower" and in blue pen: "Jacqueline Kennedy".
 
 
This candid photograph of three first ladies originally appeared in Life magazine and was furnished by the Eisenhower Library (as backstamped). Both signatures have excellent contrast. Very light brushing to 'Mamie's" name, minor surface wear, right margin has very minor warping which could be easily matted out. The first photograph of this type we have ever seen. In very good condition. $2,750.
