Jacqueline Kennedy (1929-1994). Vintage typed signed note, 3.5" x 5", Newport, Rhode Island personal stationary, August 29, 1957. A brief note of reply for a sympathy telegram received from Massachusetts Congressman Phil Philbin after the passing of her father, in part, "I want to thank you for the telegram you sent me at the time of my father's death. That was so thoughtful of you and it meant a great deal to my sister and me. I hope you know how much I appreciate your kindness." Signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint pen with a desirable full signature, "Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy." Spectacular framing with triple matting and the outer off white linen mat has a very subtle leaf pattern integrated in the linen matting itself-beautiful (shown below). The letter is framed with a vintage image of Jackie Kennedy and a descriptive plaque. The frame is a beautiful sculpted dark wooden frame.The overall size of the framed item is 22.5" x 17.25" overall.
