Jerome Kern (1885-1945) . Legendary America composer who ius considered the father of the modern musical. Wrote Show Boat and other famous musicals. Small quarto sized ALS on St. Regis stationery-thank you and apology for keeping friends up late. Signed "Jerry". A fine and uncommon ALS in black fountain pen ink and in fine condition. Single fold in middle of sheet not affecting body of letter.Shows normal aging but overall condition fine.
