George G. Meade (1815-1872). Union General, best known for defeating the Army of Northern Virginia, commanded by Robert E. Lee, at the Battle of Gettysburg.

Choice Bold Signature, as commander of the Army of the Potomac, on a 3.25 in. by 1.75 in. card. Signed on two lines: "Geo. G. Meade Maj. Genl. U.S.A.", with a bold paraph beneath the bottom line. Very clean, and in fine condition. Rare in this form. $950.00
