| Richard
M. Nixon (1913 1994). Nixon
was the thirty-seventh President of the United States, serving
from 1969 to 1974. He was also Dwight D. Eisenhower's Vice President
(19531961). He is the only man to have been elected twice
to the Vice Presidency and twice to the Presidency, and he was
the fifth Republican President to be elected to two terms. Nixon
is noted for his diplomatic foreign policy and moderate domestic
policy, but he is also remembered as the first and only U.S.
President to have resigned from office. Nixon was one of the
most enduring political figures not only in American history
but in the history of the world. There have been more books written
about Nixon than about Napolean. In this book Nixon describes
how we got into Vietnam, why we failed and what the consequences
of that failure have been-----"The Vietnam Syndrome."
But Nixon also looks forward and proposes a strategy for defeating
communism. To (name electronically obscured) with best wishes
