McDonald fought Oswald in theater and Oswald was handcuffed to Dallas Dectective, James R. Leavelle when he was shot and killed by Jack Ruby' days later.

Oswald", signed just below is the police officer who got into a fight, captured Oswald and took his gun from him. "Officer M. Nick McDonald-Captor of Oswald-11-22-63" in ink. Part of the "k" in Nick touches the "H" in Oswald. Also the Dallas Detective who was wearing the large white cowboy hat and handcuffed to Oswald when he was shot has written: "I was handcuffed to Oswald when he was shot. James R. Leavelle Dallas Detective."
