Lee Harvey Oswald (1939-1963). Assassin of President John F. Kennedy; Officer M. Nick McDonald, the man who fought, disarmed, and captured Oswald; and Detective James R. Leavelle, the man handcuffed to Oswald when he was shot by Ruby. A rare symbiotic chain of personalities intricately linked forever in history to that great tragedy in Dallas, on November 22, 1963 the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The sequence of horrific events that unfolded in Dallas on that fateful day are still debated. Oswald was captured shortly thereafter in a Dallas movie theater by Officer M. Nick McDonald. McDonald fought Oswald in theater and Oswald was handcuffed to Dallas Dectective, James R. Leavelle when he was shot and killed by Jack Ruby' days later. Extraordinarily Rare Signature Set, being a tan colored slip, most likely removed from a book or album as one edge is trimmed in gold. Signed in pencil "Lee H. Oswald", signed just below is the police officer who got into a fight, captured Oswald and took his gun from him. "Officer M. Nick McDonald-Captor of Oswald-11-22-63" in ink. Part of the "k" in Nick touches the "H" in Oswald. Also the Dallas Detective who was wearing the large white cowboy hat and handcuffed to Oswald when he was shot has written: "I was handcuffed to Oswald when he was shot. James R. Leavelle Dallas Detective." ![]() A most unique piece of American history and surely the only one in existance. Ideal to frame along with a signature of JFK and Ruby both of which are obtainable.
