painter, studied under Benjamin West, most noted for his distinguished
portraits of Washington, Jefferson, Napoleon, and Dolley Madison.
- Art Related Autograph Letter Signed, one page, small octavo, on embossed letterhead, Tuesday, no place or date, to Dr. McKenzie. Peale writes:
- "If you have nothing
- more agreeable to think of, I
- should like you to honor me
- with your presence this evening.
- I shall have a new Picture
- and some improvements.

- Respectfully yours
- Rembrandt Peale".
- Very nice reference to a work in progress. Light brushing to 'yours," cross-folds, pencil notations erased on upper right corner, otherwise, in very good condition. $1,950.
