This offering is an official Seal of The President of the United States. The seal measures approximately 18 in. in diameter and is in near perfect condition.It is framed.This seal was displayed on the Presidential Helicopter where it was inserted into a frame or holder to be displayed whenever the President was on board.This is a rare and unusual artifact to appear on the market. Helicopter service for the presidents was initiated during the Eisenhower administration. One of the first uses of a helicopter was to take Eisenhower from Camp David to the White House to sign the bill making Hawaii the 50th state. This seal has 50 stars so it was made after that date. The seal was obtained by the Command Pilot for the helicopters and a letter of provenance will accompany the item. Tremendous item for display and certain to generate discussion.
