- Desmond Tutu (1931-) Religious leader of South Africa as
Bishop of Johannesburg. Darling of the left world wide and won
the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984. Signed 4 in. x 5.5 in.
color photograph in religious dress.Dated Sept '90.he made a
career out of denigrating the United States. At one point President
Reagan was more or less compelled to meet with him and Tutu behaved
in his usual fashion by lecturing the president about all that
was wrong with The United States. After the meeting, Reagan was
asked "What did you think of Tutu? " Reagan shrugged
his shoulders and answered "So-So!".That was a quip
of quips and was probably too generous of an assessment.Price:$175.00
