First President of Israel
(1949-52). Typed Letter Signed in Hebrew, one page, on
the imprinted stationery of "The Jewish Agency For Palestine",
Jerusalem, 1945. To Rabbi Yitzhak Meir Levin (member of the First
Cabinet and Signer of the Israeli Scroll of Independence). Translated:

- "The Honorable Rabbi
Yitzhak Meir Levin, International Order of Agudath Yisrael, P.O.
Box 326, Jerusalem. 12/Jan/1945. Greatly Honored Rabbi, I herewith
acknowledge with thanks receipt of your letter of 22 Teveth 5705
(7 January 1945) which was included (with other mail, addressed
to) The Jewish Agency in Jerusalem. I will be happy to meet with
you and to converse/ discuss...but, I am in Rehovot practically
all the time and I don't want to trouble you to come to Rehovot.
I propose, therefore, that we meet during the time of my upcoming
visit to Jerusalem and I will let you know in advance in order
to set a time that's convenient for his honor. With blessing(s)
Hayim Weitzmann."

- Nice war-time letter, Yitzhak
Meir Levin, just a few years later in 1949 would hold the position
of Minister of Social Welfare in the Cabinet with Chaim Weizmann.
Great association. Shows normal aging and handling, a notation
on verso is transparent as viewed. Overall, in very good condition.
